Engineering changes announced at Williams

The Williams Martini Racing Team have confirmed the arrival of former McLaren engineer Dave Robson to the Grove based outfit.

Robson held the role of race engineer to Jenson Button at the Woking based outfit from 2010. Robson becomes Felipe Massa’s new race engineer at the team. The Brazilian’s former race engineer, Andrew Murdoch has been promoted to the role of Senior Performance Engineer.

Robson will report directly to Massa’s former Ferrari race engineer Rob Smedley who joined the Williams Team as Head of Vehicle Performance.

Carl Gaden, who has been with Williams since 1988 has been promoted to the role of Senior Car Systems Engineer having previously held the role of held the role of Chief Mechanic to the Race Team.

The team have also confirmed that Jonathan Eddolls will remain as Valtteri Bottas’ Race Engineer. Mark Pattinson, who was number one mechanic to Massa in 2014 has been promoted to the role of Chief Mechanic.

Williams will be hoping to carry their momentum from the 2014 season into this year having finished in third place in the championship.
