Gene Haas has confirmed that employees of his new Haas F1
Team will begin work at the outfits UK HQ in Banbury, Oxfordshire later this
month as the preparations for their Formula One debut in 2016 intensify.
Haas revealed that the team will be placing orders for the
team transporters by the end of next month as the stated that the supplier has
informed him that it will take six months for the haulers to be constructed.
Haas confirmed that his Formula One team’s business model will be based on his
NASCAR team where he will purchase all he can such as engines (Ferrari) chassis
parts and other components.
He has stated that he does not want to go down the route of
Caterham and Marussia by building everything in house as it was impossible for
those teams to compete with the larger teams due to budget constraints.
Haas believes that if his team can provide Ferrari with valuable
feedback then the partnership will work extremely well for both companies.
