Formula One teams completed a total of 1.018 laps on Pirelli
rubber on Friday. Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Nico Rosberg was fastest with
a 1m 22.792s which was set on the yellow walled Soft tyre.
Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel completed the most
number of laps on Friday having done 143 laps. The German’s fastest time of the
day was a 1m 25.339s set on the Soft compound tyre.
Three drivers ran the Medium compound tyre. Scuderia Toro
Rosso’s Max Verstappen, Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s Daniil Kvyat and the Sahara
Force India Formula One Team’s Nico Hulkenberg all completed their fastest time
of the day on the Medium compound tyre.
The Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya remained dry all day with
the air temperature peaking at 17 degrees.
