McLaren Honda endured another extremely tough morning on day 3 of testing at the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya on Saturday.

Jenson Button took over running from Fernando Alonso in the MP4-30 however his car came to a halt in the early part of this morning’s session and as a result the 2009 world champion was side lined for ninety minutes.

After some investigation by the team and Honda it was determined that Button had suffered the same issue that had cut short his running on Thursday which was a broken seal on the MGU-K in the Honda power unit which caused to shut down while he was on track this morning. On Friday, Fernando Alonso managed to complete a total of 59 laps’.

Button has completed 18 laps so far today with 50 minute’s remaining and has set a time of 1m 29.151s.
