Formula One world champions the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1
Team announced on Monday that they have signed a new logistics partner.
Global logistics firm DB Schenker have signed a four
contract to provide the Brackley based outfit with all of their logistics needs
throughout the course of the European season delivering team equipment and the
W06 Hybrid to the race track for Grand Prix, test and promotional events.
This service will commence in 2015 and will be carried out
with five brand new Mercedes Actros 1845 LS tractor units with Giga space cabs
that will transport the team equipment.
Speaking about the new partnership Mercedes Benz Head of
Motorsport Toto Wolff commented:
'The highest degree of professionalism and precision is indispensable in Formula One, a consideration which also applies to our logistics services.
We are pleased to welcome DB Schenker to the team as our new logistics partner and we have no doubt that they will provide excellent service and be able to respond to changing circumstances with the necessary flexibility and speed required in Formula One.'
Jochen Muller, Schenker Deutschland AG Board Member added:
