McLaren Racing Director Eric Bouiller has slammed media reports claiming that Fernando Alonso fainted prior to his testing crash on Sunday.
It had been reported that the Spaniard had fainted following an electric shock going into Turn 3 of the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya. These reports have been categorically denied by Bouillier who confirmed that Alonso who was conscious and alert following the accident was taken to hospital as part of a normal procedure.
It emerged last night that Alonso had suffered a concussion following the accident. Alonso is expected to be back in the car this weekend for the final winter test at the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya.
