The Manor Formula One Team will not be racing in 2015, after Formula One’s strategy group refused to allow the outfit to race in the Formula One world championship with the 2014 car.

The news comes on the same day that it was confirmed that the Caterham F1 Team’s assets are to be sold off at auction starting next month. It was announced yesterday that the Manor Formula One Team would exit administration at the end of the month after new investors were found for the team.

The outfit were also set to be awarded their prize money from last season however this will not happen with the news that the team have failed in their attempt to run last year’s car.

The Caterham and Manor F1 Team’s had looked as if they were going to be allowed to run the last years cars if they were able to find suitable investors however this has not materialised and it means that there will be just nine teams in Formula One this season.

If the team had been given permission to run their 2014 car it would have been a tough but not impossible task to get the team to the opening race in Melbourne, Australia which takes place from March 13 – 15.
