Afternoon update from Barcelona

The Lotus F1 Team’s Pastor Maldonado is currently the pace setter on day 3 of winter testing at the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya.

The Venezuelan has completed 60 laps in the E23 Hybrid with a fastest time so far of 1m 24.348s with Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen in second place with the Dutch driver having completed 97 laps of the Barcelona circuit.

World champion Lewis Hamilton is currently in third place with a fastest time of 1m 26.076s having completed 73 laps.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel on his opening day of the Barcelona test is currently in fourth place with a fastest time of 1m 26.407s. The German has completed 97 laps so far today. Daniil Kvyat is currently in fifth place for Infiniti Red Bull Racing. The Russian has completed 86 laps with a fastest time of 1m26.589s.

Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa has set the sixth fastest time so far having completed 55 laps with a 1m 26.912s. Valtteri Bottas is in the car this afternoon and has yet to set a time despite completing 22 laps.

Pascal Wehrlein is back in action for the Sahara Force India Formula One Team and has so far completed 61 laps with a fastest time of 1m 27.333s. Marcus Ericsson is currently eighth fastest for the Sauber F1 Team having completed 32 laps with a 1m 28.858s with Jenson Button in ninth place for the McLaren Honda Formula One Team while Valtteri Bottas rounds out the order.
