The Manor F1 Team received a major boost on Friday when Formula
One’s governing body the FIA confirmed that they will give the outfit leeway
when it comes to the official Formula One entry list for the 2015 season.
The team are current in talks with the FIA over their entry
for 2015 having already filed their fee to race in Formula One this season. The
team have assured the FIA that they can have an interim 2015 specification car
ready for the early part of the season and possibly the opening race of the
season in Australia.
It is more likely however that the team will get the car
ready for the Bahrain Grand Prix which takes place on April 19, this is also
the deadline for team to racing as it would mean that they will receive money
from the commercial rights holder.
The team are working closely with the FIA to ensure that
they have the financial means and technical infrastructure to compete in
Formula One for years to come.
The Manor F1 Team announced plans to come out of
administration next Thursday 19th February the day the first
Barcelona winter test gets underway at the Circuit de Catalunya.
