Former Formula One driver Mark Webber believes that four
time world champion Sebastian Vettel has made the right call by moving to
Scuderia Ferrari from Infiniti Red Bull Racing.
It was announced last year that Vettel would be joining Kimi
Raikkonen at Scuderia Ferrari. Webber was the German’s team mate at Infiniti
Red Bull Racing from 2009 – 2013 where the pair formed one of the most
successful partnerships in recent Formula One history. As team mates’ the pair
won four consecutive Constructors championships for the Milton Keynes based
outfit from 2010 – 2013.
Webber believes it is not a case of whether Red Bull will
miss Vettel or not but that it is question for Vettel as to whether or not his
move to Ferrari will enable him to get the best out of himself. The Australia
does believe however that the Milton Keynes based outfit may miss some of the
German’s experience half way through the 2015 season.
Webber believes Infiniti Red Bull Racing have a fantastic
driver in Daniel Ricciardo and that he following his incredibly strong season
in 2014, the Australian will be in a position to challenge Mercedes for the
championship this season.
