Ferrari WILL supply Manor should the teams bid to return to F1 succeed

Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene has confirmed that the Italian manufacturer has verbally agreed to supply the Manor F1 Team with 2014 spec power units.

The news comes as a boost to Manor who are seeking to return to Formula One having being released from administration. The team who were based in Banbury Oxfordshire have lodged their entry fee with the FIA however their bid to run their 2014 car for the early part of the 2015 season was rejected by management of the Sahara Force India F1 Team.

In Barcelona over the weekend, Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner confirmed that his team would support Manor’s bid to return to Formula One this season.

The team have an ally in the FIA as Formula One’s governing body support the bid. It is unclear when a final decision will be made regarding the Manor F1 Team with just over two weeks to go before the start of the new Formula One season.

The Manor F1 Team still plan should they get the go ahead to run an interim 2014 car  for the opening three Grand Prix of the season with a 2015 chassis making its debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
