McLaren-Honda confirm Barcelona test line up

The McLaren Honda Formula One team have confirmed their line-up for next weeks’ winter test at the Barcelona Circuit Du Catalunya.

On the same day that they were in Tokyo for a press conference with new power unit supplier Honda the team confirmed that Jenson Button will drive the MP4-30 on the opening two days of the test next Thursday and Friday before handing over to Fernando Alonso for Saturday and Sunday.

Following a difficult opening test for the Woking based outfit they will be hoping that the first Barcelona test will provide them with a better platform than last weeks’ test in Jerez where they encountered a number problems with the new car. Honda have confirmed that they will have an upgrade package for their power unit in Barcelona.
