(Alastair Staley for the Lotus F1 Team)
The Lotus F1 Team will be far more competitive in 2015,
according to Romain Grosjean. The Frenchman and the Enstone outfit endured an
extremely difficult 2014 Formula One season which saw them score just ten
points over the course of the season, finishing in 8th place in the
championship, 20 points behind Scuderia Toro Rosso.
In 2015, the Lotus F1 Team will use a supply of Mercedes
power units and Grosjean has stated that from what he has seen in the Lotus
wind-tunnel the E23 looks far more competitive.
According to Grosjean the new car looks nice and does not
feature the twin tusk like this year’s car. The Frenchman feels that the fact
he struggled in 2014 following a fantastic season in 2013 has made his a
stronger driver and that he believes as a result he will be even stronger next
season.
The Lotus F1 Team have retained both Romain Grosjean and
Pastor Maldonado for the 2015 Formula One season.
