New Sauber C34 passes crash tests

(Sauber F1 Team)

The Sauber F1 Team have confirmed that their 2015 Formula One chassis, dubbed the C34 has become the latest challenger to pass the mandatory FIA crash tests. The news comes with just six weeks to go until the first test of winter gets underway at the Jerez circuit in Spain from February 1 - 4.

Last week, McLaren-Honda became the first team to announce that their MP4-30 chassis had passed all the FIA crash tests.

The Sauber F1 Team head into 2015 hoping that the C34 will bring them better results than their 2014 car as the Swiss based outfit failed to score a single point for the first time in their history in Formula One.

The Hinwil outfit have a brand new line-up for 2015, with former Caterham F1 Team driver Marcus Ericsson joining alongside former Williams Martini Racing Team test and reserve driver Felipe Nasr set to make his Formula One debut with the team next season.
