Nielsen leaves Toro Rosso

Scuderia Toro Rosso have confirmed the departure of Sporting Director Steve Nielsen. The Italian team have refused to comment on the reasons for Nielsen’s departure.

The Englishman had been in the position with the team since joining from the Caterham F1 Team in 2013. Toro Rosso have refused to comment on who will replace in Nielsen as Sporting Director. 

The Italian outfit go into the 2015 Formula One season having finished 2014 in seventh place in the championship with 30 points ahead of the Lotus F1 Team.


Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr have joined the team for next season, replacing Jean Eric Vergne and the Infiniti Red Bull Racing bound Daniil Kvyat.
