New Ferrari Chairman Sergio Marchionne has urged the Italian outfit to get fully behind new Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene in 2015.

Arrivabene, the former VP of Philip Morris joins the Italian team following a tough Formula One campaign for the outfit in 2014 which saw them finish the championship in fourth place behind Williams Martini Racing, Red Bull and Constructors champions the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.

The team also failed to score a victory in 2014 for the first time since 1993. Speaking at Ferrari’s annual Christmas lunch on Saturday, Marchionne stated that he is confident that Arrivabene has what it takes to help the Maranello based outfit turn things around for 2015.

Ferrari has undergone a host of changes in recent weeks and months with Marchionne replacing Luca Di Montezemelo while Marco Mattiacci left the team after seven months in charge as interim team principal, having taken over from Stefano Domenicali.

Arrivabene confirmed that he has joined the team to ensure that the team get back to where they should be which is challenging for race wins and championships.

Marchionne stated that he wants to see the team embrace the changes and not to be fearful of it. Ferrari have a new driver for 2015 as four time world champion and former Infiniti Red Bull Racing drive Sebastian Vettel joining Kimi Raikkonen at the Scuderia.
