Former Toro Rosso driver Jean Eric Vergne is back in Motorsport, just week's after losing his F1 seat.
American racing team Andretti Autosport confirmed on Monday that Vergne will drive for their Formula E team starting with the next race in Uruguay.
The Frenchman lost his Toro Rosso drive when the Italian team confirmed that Carlos Sainz Jnr would partner fellow F1 newcomer Max Verstappen in 2015.
Vergne made his Formula One debut with Scuderia Toro Rosso and since then has scored 51 points in the three seasons his has been in the sport. The Frenchman lost out to Daniel Ricciardo for the Infiniti Red Bull Racing seat alongside four time world champion Sebastian Vettel following Mark Webber's retirement from the sport at the end of 2013 season.
