Ferrari confirm the departure of Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis in F1 team reshuffle

The Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team have announced a number of changes within the organisational structure of the Maranello based outfit.

Following the arrival of Maurizio Arrivabene as team principal and a comprehensive overhaul of the team it has been confirmed that Engineering Director Pat Fry and Chief Designer Nikolas Tombazis have left the company.

Technical Director James Allison will remain at the team with Chief Designer, Simone Resta, Power Unit Director Mattia Binotto and Chief Designer of the Power Unit Lorenzo Sassi reporting directly to Allison. Ferrari have also confirmed that for the foreseeable future Allison will direct track engineering activities.

Arrivabene has also confirmed that Massimo Rivola will direct all of Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula One activities.

Luca Baldisserri, Scuderia Ferrari’s former chief track engineer has been appointed to the role of head of Ferrari’s Driver Academy and will report directly to Maurizio Arrivabene.

Arrivabene will also assume responsibility for the newly formed Commercial department at the Maranello based outfit. Former Head of Ferrari’s press office, Renato Bisignani becomes Marketing manager and Acquisitions at the Commercial department.

Lastly, the team confirmed that seasoned Formula One journalist and TV commentator, Aberto Anconini becomes Head of Press Office as Scuderia Ferrari and will also oversee the new Scuderia Ferrari digital team.
