(Sahara Force India Formula One Team)
The Sahara Force India Formula One Team have confirmed that
they are targeting Williams Martini Racing next season.
THE Silverstone based outfit had their best season in a
number of years in 2014, with Sergio (Checco) Perez scoring the team’s first
podium finish since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix when he finished the Bahrain
night Grand Prix in third place behind the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and
Nico Rosberg.
The Williams Martini Racing Team who, like Force India use
Mercedes power finished the 2014 season in third place in the championship
while Force India themselves finished the season in 6th place in the
standings just behind McLaren.
The Silverstone based outfit’s technical director Andrew
Green believes that recent improvements at the team will help them to fight
Williams in 2015.
Force India announced on December 4 that they will utilize
the Toyota wind-tunnel in Cologne, Germany. Green stated that he is extremely
excited by what the team are bringing to the VJM08 for next season and is happy
with the progress from Mercedes.
The team go into the 2015 season with plenty of stability as
both Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez being retained for a second season.
Hulkenberg has stated that having Sergio Perez as his team mate in 2014 has
helped him to raise his game in Formula One to become a better driver.
