Michael Schumacher faces a ‘long hard fight’ according
to his management Sabine Kehm. It is a year since the seven time Formula One
world champion suffered serious injuries following a skiing accident while on
holiday in the French ski resort of Meribel.
Ms Kehm confirmed:
‘He is making progress appropriate to the severity of the situation.’
Kehm went on to deny French media reports that Schumacher is
beginning to recognize his family. This claim had been credited to ‘close
family friend’ Philippe Streiff.
Kehm stated that Mr Streiff is in fact not a close family
friend of Schumacher’s saying:
‘I can only confirm that I do not know where Mr. Streiff has his
information from because he has no contact with us and he never has.’
