McLaren Honda 2015 chassis the MP4-30 passes crash tests

The McLaren Honda Formula One team have become the first outfit to confirm that their 2015 Formula One car has passed all of the mandatory FIA crash tests.

The news comes just one day after the Woking based outfit confirmed the return of Fernando Alonso who joins the team to partner Jenson Button. The team took to their official Twitter feed on Friday evening to confirm the news saying:

‘Good news: the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 has passed all its @FIA chassis crash tests’.


The team have seven weeks before the first test of the winter gets underway at the Jerez circuit in Spain, from February 1st – 4th.
