Former Ferrari president, Luca Di Montezemelo has praised the Italian team for making the right choice in their decision to sign four time world champion Sebastian Vettel.
Vettel joins Kimi Raikkonen at the Maranello based outfit, replacing Fernando Alonso who has joined McLaren-Honda from next season. Di Montezemelo, who left his role at Ferrari in October believes that both former Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel have the desire for 'redemption'.
Scuderia Ferrari announced a host of personnel changes on Tuesday and speaking to La Gazzetta Della Sport, Di Montezemelo stated that he hoped that the Italian team will get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
Ferrari's last drivers world champion was Kimi Raikkonen who won the championship in his first season with the team in 2007.
The outfit's last Constructors championship came in 2008, when Felipe Massa came close to winning the drivers championship. Ferrari finished the 2014 Formula One season in fourth place in the championship behind the Williams Martini Racing Team having scored 216 points.
