Sauber F1 Team principal Monisha Keltenborn has confirmed that her outfit do not intend to build a completely new car for the 2015 season despite a tough year so far in 2014. The Swiss based team went into the Summer break still waiting to score their first point of the season.

Although the team have shown signs of improvement in recent Grand Prix the team head to the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa Francorchamps in two weeks time hoping to make a further step forward that will result in the team breaking into the top ten. At the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this season the Marussia F1 Team scored two world championship points and are currently in ninth place in the Constructors championship.

Earlier this season Keltenborn dismissed speculation that the team were set to get rid of Adrian Sutil. However in relation to the 2015 season the team have a number of potential drivers available to them including Swiss driver Simona De Silvestro who is currently undergoing an intensive programme with the Sauber F1 Team.

The outfit also have Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin who like Silvestro brings some financial backing to the team in the form of sponsorship.

Keltenborn said that the team know where the weakness are in the current car and are going to work on these issues so that they will be solved for next season. She also stated that they are looking forward to an engine upgrade from Ferrari for the 2015 season.
