Let the inter team rivalry resume on track at Mercedes

(Mercedes AMG F1 Team)

The Mercedes AMG F1 Team head back to work this weekend following the Formula One Summer break at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium where they hope to tighten their grip on the Constructors championship. The Brackley based outfit are currently 174 points ahead of reigning world champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

Heading into the Belgian Grand Prix Nico Rosberg currently leads tem mate Lewis Hamilton at the top of the championship by just eleven points. Last time out at the Hungarian Grand Prix Hamilton recovered from a disastrous qualifying session coming through the field from last on the grid to finish the race on the podium with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and race winner Daniel Ricciardo.

Hamilton also crucially for the 2008 world champion finished the race just ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg who had called for the team to impose team orders on Hamilton however they did not and Hamilton went on to finish the race ahead of the German.

Following the race team Executive Director of Business Toto Wolff confirmed that from now on their drivers will have to prove to the pit-wall that they are faster then their team mate before the team will make a decision on what to do next.

At the current rate Mercedes are on target if their incredible form continues they will wrap up the Constructors championship at the Singapore Grand Prix at the end of September.
