Alonso denies Ferrari speculation

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso has taken to social media to deny reports claiming he is demanding $50 million a season from the Italian outfit to remain with them long term. The outfit have had an extremely difficult 2014 season so far having only scored two podium's so far this season coming in China and last time out in Hungary.

Alonso whose current Ferrari contract runs until the end of 2016 said:

'A thing that's not true, even if is copied a thousand times, will remain false, Always helpful to remember this'.

Since joining Ferrari from Renault in 2010 Alonso has come close to winning the driver's championship however has yet to take victory in the championship race with the Prancing Horse. The Italian team brought back their last world champion Kimi Raikkonen to replace Felipe Massa for this season however, the Finn has struggled so far this season compared to Alonso with the Iceman scoring his best result of the season so far finishing the Hungarian Grand Prix in 6th place.
