Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen who like Max Verstappen had limited experience when he entered Formula One with the Sauber F1 Team in 2001 scored a point in his first every race at the Australian Grand Prix. Speaking to the official Ferrari website Raikkonen said that the sport is more straight forward today compared to when he started in Formula One in 2001.

There have been concerns raised about Verstappen's age and that it could be too soon for the Dutch driver to enter the sport but Raikkonen is a prime example of how youth can be an advantage. When the Finn begin his F1 career he had just 23 races during his career and was 20 years old when he made his Grand Prix debut.

The Finn went on to say that he believes that Verstappen will have no problems adapting to life in Formula One and hopes that he does well.

Speaking about his current situation in the 2014 season Raikkonen feels that the second half of the season can only get better in as the team prepare for the final eight Grand Prix starting with Belgium this weekend.

The Iceman goes into this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix in 12th place in the championship on 27 points just two behind Sahara Force India's Sergio Perez.
