Championship leader Nico Rosberg will take home €12 million for 2014 however that could potentially rise substantially should the German go on to win the 2014 championship. The Mercedes driver currently holds an eleven point advantage at the top of the championship over team mate Lewis Hamilton.

Rosberg's expected 2014 salary is an increase of €1 million from 2013. There is then a large gap from Rosberg to the Williams Martini Racing driver Felipe Massa who is earning €4 million with the Grove based outfit for 2014 which is a decrease of €2 million from what he was earning at Ferrari in 2013.

Williams Martini Racing Team's Valtteri Bottas was on €600,000 with the team last season and that has now increased to €1 million for 2014 and that is expected to increase following his impressive start to the season which has seen the Finn collect three podium finishes for the team.

Following his move to reigning world champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing from Toro Rosso over the Winter, Australian Daniel Ricciardo will receive €750,000 in 2014 compared to €400,00 with Toro Rosso last season. Ricciardo's former team mate Jean Eric Vernge was on €400,000 last season whereas this season the Frenchman's salary is €750,000.
