Seven time world champion Michael Schumacher's former manager Wili Weber has criticized Formula One's powers that be Bernie Ecclestone and FIA president Jean Todt for not embracing 'new media'. In an interview with German newspaper Sport Bild Weber stated:
'Bernie Ecclestone is much too old to embrace the age of new media while FIA president Jean Todt lacks the power to enforce'.
Weber however feels that it is just Ecclestone and Todt's fault for the down turn of Formula One but also blames the drivers of today who come on the radio to complain about their rivals or the car as selected radio communications are now broadcast for the world to hear.
Weber describes the drivers that do this as 'whimps' and believes that fans are now switching off from Formula One as a result of this and also as a result of the the new regulations that have been introduced at the start of the new season.
Weber believes that the drivers of today should do their talking on the track and not on the radio like the driver's in recent F1 history.
