Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen admitted after qualifying eighth for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa Francorchamps circuit that he made a number of mistakes that cost him a higher position up the grid.

The Iceman's team mate Fernando Alonso will start the race from fourth place on the grid. Raikkonen's mistakes in qualifying were made all the worse following his difficult start to the weekend yesterday. Raikkonen has admitted that he is only concentrating on the Sunday's race stating:

'It was quite difficult conditions and I just made quite a few mistakes on the last lap, I was held up a bit on the outlap by other cars and maybe that affected a bit the way I wanted to start the whole lap and get the tyres ready. But I just made some mistakes and didn't get a very good lap on the last run.''

Despite the mistakes in qualifying the Finn was happy with the overall pace of the F14-T however he feels that come the race tomorrow it may be difficult for the team to compete with Mercedes powered outfits.

Raikkonen who has won more times at the Spa Francorchamps circuit then any other driver currently on the grid will be hoping for an extremely strong points finish tomorrow. The Finn has claimed four victories at the Belgian circuit. The Finn is currently in 12th place in the championship on 27 points.
