The McLaren F1 Team are in no rush to confirm their driver line-up for the 2015 season as they get ready to welcome Honda to the Woking based outfit from next season onwards. Jenson Button is likely to be retained for next season, the first year of a long term deal with Honda. Jenson Button is out of contract with McLaren at the end of the year while Kevin Magnussen's future at the team is uncertain.

McLaren are currently in 6th place in the Constructors championship on 97 points just one behind the Sahara Force India Formula One Team. The teams best result so far this season came at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne in March.

Button's best result since then was a fourth place finish at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone in June while Kevin Magnussen's best result since Melbourne was seventh place in Austria. The Dane followed that up with another 7th place in Silverstone.

McLaren Racing director Eric Boullier has stated that they would be interested in any driver that may potentially be available.

The Frenchman commented that has neither confirming nor denying that they will be replacing one or both of their driver's next season. The team need to give 100 percent all the time and Boullier has said that despite the teams struggles this season he is satisfied with the work that Jenson Button has been doing this season.
