McLaren management are set to meet for a final time on Thursday to finalize their 2015 driver line-up as Formula One waits to discover the fate of Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen. The Woking based outfit are believed to be set to sign former Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso for the 2015 Formula One season when the team will use Honda power units.

McLaren chairman Ron Dennis stated at the season finale in Abu Dhabi when speaking to Sky ports F1's Martin Brundle that they not just three drivers in the running for a drive with the team in 2015 but possibly four, This led to suggestions that the team were considering Stoffel Vandoorne.

McLaren Racing Director Eric Boullier has confirmed however that Vandoorne is not being considered for one of the seats with the team next season.

The board meeting is set to take place at the same time as Jenson Button, Kevin Magnussen and Mika Hakkinen will be driving McLaren road cars at an event in Edinburgh. Although the board meeting is set to take place on Thursday, no details have been given as to when an announcement will be made.
