The Australian Grand Prix at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne will remain on the Formula One calendar until at least 2020 after organizers of the event confirmed that they have signed a new contract with Formula One commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone. Denis Napthine, Premier of Victoria, is hopeful that the Australian Grand Prix can capitalize on the success of Daniel Ricciardo who has done an absolutely fantastic job so far this season.

The circuit is set to host the F1 season opener next season and it is believed that the race could take place on Sunday 15th March.

The Albert Park circuit has been on the  Formula One calendar since 1996 and is a firm favourite with driver's and fan's a like.
