(Alastair Staley for the Lotus F1 Team)
The Lotus F1 Team's Romain Grosjean is refusing to commit his Formula One future to the Enstone based outfit. The team has had a difficult first half of the 2014 season which has seen them score just eight points all of which have come from Grosjean. The Frenchman is waiting to see how the driver market plays out towards the end of the season before he makes a final decision on what he we do in 2015.
Grosjean has stated that although there has been a slight improvement from the Lotus team in recent Grand Prix he is still struggling with the brakes on the E22.
Although he is unsure of what his future holds Grosjean believes that in 2015 the team can stage a 'Brawn style comeback' when Ross Brawn bought the Honda team at the end of the 2008 season and with the help of Mercedes power his team won both the drivers and constructors championship.
Next season the Lotus F1 Team will switch to a supply of Mercedes power units and Grosjean has stated that he would like to secure race wins in the near future.
Grosjean has been with the Lotus F1 Team since returning to Formula One in 2012 where he teamed up with Kimi Raikkonen. During the 2012 and 2013 season's Grosjean had great success with the outfit having scored a number of podiums. He finished the 2013 season in 7th place scoring 132 points and is currently in 14th place in the Drivers championship on 8 points.
