Kimi Raikkonen says he is ready to put his tough season with Ferrari in 2014 behind him and is looking forward to the seeing the improvements that Ferrari will have with their 2015 car. The Finn has been encouraged with what he has seen coming out of the wind-tunnel in relation to next seasons car.

The Finn returned to Ferrari as Fernando Alonso's team mate for 2014. He endured a frustrating season with the Scuderia finishing in 11th place in the championship on 55 points and failing to secure a podium.

Ferrari endured their worst season in Formula One since 1993 failing to take a single victory and this has led to widespread changes within the Italian team which has seen Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemelo leave the team and being replaced by Sergio Marchionne. Stefano Domenicali resigned from his role as team principal in April and was replaced on an interim basis by Marco Mattiacci.

It was announced at the start of last week that Mattiacci had been replaced by former Philip Morris VP Maurizio Arrivabene as team principal.

It is believed that Fernando Alonso's former Ferrari race engineer Andre Stella will be leaving the team and joining McLaren-Honda with the Spaniard who is expected to be joining the Woking based outfit for next season.

Raikkonen is set to get a new race engineer in 2015 with Dave Greenwood having joined the Scuderia from the Marussia F1 Team. The Englishman has previously worked for Renault in Formula One. The Finn also has a new team mate for 2015 with four time world champion and his friend Sebastian Vettel having officially joined the team over the weekend after leaving Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

Raikkonen said that it was unfortunate that the team had a difficult year in 2014 and that it was not good for him or Ferrari but that it is part of the game.

The Finn expects there to be 'big big improvements' for 2015 and he knows that with the changes the team have made recently that this can be achieved.

Ferrari finished the 2014 Formula One season in fourth place in the Constructors championship.
