Red Bull cut short Jerez test

(Red Bull via Twitter)

Red Bull Racing have brought their test to an end early. The news comes after a horrendous opening week of winter testing for the reigning world champions as they had to cut short their running on the second day due to a problem with the Renault ERS system.

The was once again forced to call a halt to their running yesterday with Daniel Ricciardo and both team boss Christian Horner and chief designer Adrian Newey returned to Milton Keynes yesterday to try and come up with a solution to their problem.

Over the course of last four days the team have only managed to complete 25 laps this week while their main rivals have been circulating Jerez and building up the mileage. Mercedes Nico Rosberg for example, completed his first race simulation this morning.

Red Bull now have just over two weeks to find a solution to their issues. The team will bounce back from this problem and find a solution.
