Toro Rosso launch their new STR9 in Jerez

The Toro Rosso Formula One team have become the latest outfit to launch their new car. Ahead of the start Winter testing in Jerez tomorrow the teams driver's Jean Eric Vergne and new driver Daniil Kvyat were on hand in the Jerez pit-lane to take the cover off the new STR9.

The new car features the new low front nose and front wing like their rivals and is striking just like the Ferrari F14T but is somewhat more stream lined without the ant eater slope at the front of the car.

This year, for the first time since the team became Toro Rosso they will use the same Renault engines that their sister team Red Bull Racing use. It will be interesting to see how the Italian team get this season with the new Renault engine.

Daniil Kvyat, the Russian rookie driver has made the step up to the team from GP3 to replace Australian Daniel Ricciardo who in turn replaced his fellow Australian driver Mark Webber alongside reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull Racing for this season. The Milton Keynes based squad will themselves reveal their new car the RB10 tomorrow morning.
