Mercedes power dominates Tuesday morning's running in Jerez

This morning has been an extremely busy one in Jerez as the second day of winter testing got underway. First of all we caught a glimpse of the new McLaren MP4-29 as Jenson Button took to the track for the first time following the team's technical problems yesterday.

Then we had the news from Woking that they have appointed former Lotus F1 Team principal Eric Boullier to the newly created position of Racing Director at the team.

This morning's running has been completely dominated by Mercedes powered cars. Jenson Button and McLaren led the way with Sergio Perez in the Force India briefly topping the time sheets, however Button reclaimed the top spot.

Jenson reclaimed the top spot just before lunch and Nico Rosberg, who took over from Lewis Hamilton today was third while Williams Valtteri Bottas was fourth as he continued his good run from yesterday where on his first time lap he put the car in third place.
