Quantum/Lotus talks back on

(Ben Johnston 2014)

It was reported earlier this week that the proposed Lotus Quantum Motorsports Group investment deal had been halted however it has emerged this morning that the talks about a deal are continuing.

The deal was first mooted during the Summer last year however, time ran out for Kimi Raikkonen as the deal didn't materialize resulting in the Finn returning to Ferrari for 2014.

It is not yet known when the deal is expected to be completed however the discussions between the two parties are ongoing.

The Lotus F1 Team has been forced to reshuffle parts of its technical department over the winter following the departure of a number of key people.

The team have endured difficult times in recent months which started with news of the financial dispute between Kimi Raikkonen and the team. The Iceman elected to skip the final two race's of the year in the US and Brazil and instead underwent back surgery to cure a on going back injury.
