Williams confirm new appointments

Fresh from announcing that they will be at the first test of the 2014 preseason, the Williams F1 Team have announced that  they have strengthened their technical department by signing Jakob Andreasen, Rob Nelson and Craig Wilson.

Jakob Andreasen joins the Grove based team from Force India and has been appointed to the position of Head of Engineering Operations, Craig Wilson rejoins the team from Mercedes and will be the team's new Head of Vehicle Dynamics. Meanwhile Rob Nelson joins the team from Lotus and is now the Williams team's head of Testing Operations.

The announcement of the new signings following their recruitment of Pat Symonds as Chief Technical Officer in the latter stages of last season. It is not the final announcement to come out of Williams as it is expected that Rob Smedley will join the team from Ferrari in a senior engineering role after spending his time at Ferrari as Felipe Massa's race engineer.

The Williams F1 Team have secured a supply of Mercedes engines from this season and they also have secured the services of Felipe Massa who joins the team from Ferrari and the also have a new sponsor in the form of Petrobas, the Brazilian oil giant.

The new appointments just goes to show that the Williams team are determined to return to the front of the grid and they have all the ingredients necessary to help them in the quest to return to the front.
