Kimi Raikkonen has insisted that things will eventually come good for himself and Ferrari after enduring a difficult start to his 2014 season his first with Ferrari since he left the team at the end of 2009. Despite the tough start the Iceman had his best race of the season so far last time out at the Hungaroring where he finished the race in 6th place having started the race from 16th place.
Raikkonen is unfazed by the difficulties that he has faced this season but knows that he has the ability to get back up to speed.
The Finn has said that all he has to do is gets things in the right order. The next Grand Prix following the Summer break is the Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa Francorchamps circuit where the Finn has a great record having won the race there the last time he drove in a race there for Ferrari.
Raikkonen feels that things can only come together when they work as a team and make the decisions as a team. Last time out in Hungary Raikkonen was left frustrated as he went out in Q1 following a team error however Ferrari are adamant that this situation will never happen again.
Last season with the Lotus F1 Team Raikkonen retired from the Belgian Grand Prix with a brake failure and the year before in his first season back in F1 after a two year break from the sport the Finn finished the race on the podium in third place.
There is a still a long way to go in the 2014 season so there is plenty of Grand Prix for Raikkonen to get back on the podium for the first time this season. Ferrari are working extremely hard to turn their season around and give both Raikkonen and team mate Fernando Alonso a car capable of scoring points in all of the remaining Grand Prix of the season.
